    Una Lorenzen

    Una Lorenzen (1981) is an independent filmmaker from Reykjavík, Iceland. In 2009 she received her MFA in experimental animation from CalArts, California. Besides making music-videos and short-films Una likes using the medium of animation as an educational tool. She has created animations for numerous documentaries and recently completed a group of animated shorts for Disney Educational Productions. Una´s work has traveled across Europe, USA and Asia. Festivals include Tribeca Underground in New York, Cannes in France, Karlovy Vary in Prague and Tricky Women in Vienna. Currently Una lives and works in Brooklyn.

    passTRESpass by Jill Woodward

    Jill Woodward is an editor-for-hire, co-founder of the production partnership Generator Pictures, and part-time journalist. She also collaborates with the dance collective mdas.

    Jill works on a variety of projects: small business, corporate, non-profit, and independent. She's edited and/or created videos for Fed Ex, Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, NYC Coalition Against Hunger, sculptor Ursula von Rydingsvard, and yoga instructor Ranjitha Sandeep. Jill also volunteers at the 4th Street Food Co-op in the Communications & Graphics group.

    Jill got her start in TV at CNN in Atlanta in 1990, and continued working for CNN-New York in 1999. There she learned her editing skills and became interested in storytelling. She covered Hurricane Katrina, the September 11th attacks, both Gulf Wars, major US elections, the entertainment industry, and financial news. In 2006 she

    Mai La Thai

    Mai La Thai is an art director and filmmaker based in New York City. She has received numerous international awards in different disciplines throughout her career. The International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences recognized her twice for her online short films. The film “Goal” was commissioned by Nike in 2006 for the World Cup and was subsequently featured in Shots UK. She received a second nod from the Academy in 2010 for “A Toast to Memo.” La Thai creates bodies of work influenced by her upbringing.

    RABEAH GHAFFARI

    Rabeah Ghaffari is a writer and filmmaker/editor. As a filmmaker she has made a feature length documentary, THE TROUPE which was executive produced by Shirin Neshat. Some of her editing credits include: Zohreh Shayesteh’s INSIDE OUT (Competition Tribeca Film Festival 2006) and PICKING APPLES, DRINKING TEA and Neda Sarmast’s NOBODY’S ENEMY. Her screenplay, NEYSHAPOOR, was an official selection of the IFP/Emerging Narrative 2005. She was a Fellow of the Berlin Film Festival’s Talent Campus 2005 and the Sundance Screenwriters Lab 2006 with the Royal Film Commission of Jordan. She recently completed her first novel, CASPIAN’S SEA.

    Louis Grenier, filmmaker, and Emmy® Award winner, has created a striking series of videos. Comical, bold, profoundly peculiar, and rigorously powerful. They consist of visual chronicles and psychiatric explorations with wide-ranging philosophical investigations. His work has been shown extensively in the US, Canada, and Europe, at venues including museums, galleries, universities, festivals, night clubs, and television. Exhibitions include: Corcoran Gallery of Art, Wash. DC; New York Film Festival at Lincoln Center; Anthology Film Archives; The New Museum; The Knitting Factory; The Mudd Club; Dixon Place; CBS Cable TV; The Kitchen; P.S. 1, Long Island City, NY; Manhattan Neighborhood Network; World's Fair 1984, New Orleans (traveled). For ABC, INC. he wrote, produced, and directed Meredith Vieira of "The Today Show" in "The Scholastic Video." Awards include: Newsweek-Bolex FILM CONTEST, recognition of cinema skills in National Affairs category, judge Albert Maysles; New York State Council on the Arts CAPS grant in video; Emmy® Award for Editing, ABC 2000 "Millennium Special."
